White Fox Produces ‘Busamen Gachi Fighter’ TV Anime Adaptation

A television anime adaptation of Ryou Hiromatsu and Wosamu Kouzuki‘s Busamen Gachi Fighter (Uglymug, Epicfighter) manga was announced by Bushiroad Move on Monday. The production company also opened an official website, revealing the lead cast, animation studio, and a teaser visual (pictured).
Voice actor Junichi Suwabe (No Guns Life, Great Pretender) is starring as the protagonist Shigeru Yoshioka. White Fox, the animation studio behind Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-) and Hataraku Maou-sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer!), is producing the anime. Egg Firm is credited for production.
Hiromatsu originally penned the series on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website between February 2015 and October 2022. Monthly Big Gangan serialized the manga with Kouzuki’s artwork from November 2017 to December 2020. Square Enix published the sixth and final volume in February 2021. The Busamen Gachi Fighter SSS (Uglymug, Epicfighter SSS) sequel manga will debut in the magazine’s first issue on December 25.
Kobunsha published the story in a single light novel volume under its Light Books imprint in May 2018, featuring illustrations by Akira Banpai (The New Gate).
Comkey and Square Enix’s Manga UP! website and app began publishing the manga in English on February 23 this year.
Synopsis
Wrongly convicted of a crime, 34-year-old Shigeru Yoshioka loses everything, including his trust in women, and withdraws from society as an unemployed recluse.
One day, he stumbles upon a way to travel to another world. When a mysterious status screen appears on his computer, Shigeru sacrifices his looks to gain an overwhelming 100 trillion and 5,100 parameters. Now reborn as an “Absolute God,” he begins his second life in another world.
